Our rooster Jacques, alarm clock, yard boss and protector of hens, is a Cuckoo Marans chicken, a French breed. His hobbies are roaming the neighborhood and chasing cats. While not perfect (eats hostas), he is reasonably friendly and curious. He recently figured out his crow sounds much better when he steps into the garage to amplify it.
