I made my first about 10 years ago and got serious about it 5 years ago. My goal has been mastery of the classic basket forms leading to original and contemporary interpretations of these forms. Taking what is essentially straight "one-dimensional" material and producing a curving three-dimensional construction, bearing in mind the essence of basket is containment, is a never ending fascination.
