Commissions - Worship and Spirituality
The Worship and Spirituality Commission focuses on nurturing the faith
of the community by helping the people to pray. Since the Sunday liturgy
is "...the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed;
.. the font from which all the Church's power flows," (Constitution on
the Sacred Liturgy, Second Vatican Council, 1963), much of the Worship
& Spirituality Commission's work is directed toward enhancing and
improving the celebration of Mass on Sundays throughout the various liturgical
seasons. Other aspects of the community's spiritual and prayer life are
also addressed. Anyone willing to learn more about liturgy and prayer
is invited to join! Meetings are one a month for 90 minutes. Other opportunities
to contribute to the worship and spiritual life of St. Mary's are also
available. A Ministry Training Night is held periodically to provide training
and guidance for these individuals. Call Mitch Holte for more information.
